Connor's Ugly Stick - back in business

After one of the aileron clevises stripped and left an aileron flapping causing flutter, Connor landed safely. The clevis was replaced, everything checked then test flown. The engine dead sticked just after takeoff, this was caused by air sucking in through the filler valve. This was tightened up and the Stick flew perfectly again.

Just for a bit of fun and something different we sat the iphone in the middle of the strip and flew a couple of Apprentices over it. Harder than it sounds and excellent practise at precise flying. The camera needs to be mounted on a very small tripod and angled slightly higher - that's next time.

The sequencer is built into the Spektrum DX18 transmitter. The inner gear doors are on a separate channel and the outer gear doors are attached to the leg. You might like RAP Fun Factory facebook page and youtube channel. That's where all that is made

After 3 years of use it's even simpler now. We no longer use the straps, it stays in place without as long as you keep the downward pressure on the nose cone to stop it moving but mostly we just get hold of a wing each and lift it in or out of the stand when the wings are on. So simple! check out RAP Fun Factory on FB

Nice planes and field. What did us us to cover the p-51 with? Ans that must e 3" pipe with what a 45 degrees?
The Mustang is fully composite painted in the mould (see facebook page RAP Fun Factory and RAP Fun Factory youtube channel) The PVC pipe is 90mm with various fittings
90mm stormwater pipe (3.5") The plane is composite construction, glass cloth and corecork. Painted in the mould with DNA virtual chrome

What angle are you bending the rod to reflect?
Looks like a 45 degrees to me, correct?
Note that the battery is only there to provide power for the ignition. The engine itself is a proper petrol engine.
I have 2 38cc 4str gassers that sound better. They have silencers on them!!
